Anglican Diocese of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island Anglican Diocese of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island Sub-series consists of records created by the Anglican Diocese of Halifax and Nova Scotia during its involvement in the Residential School System. While the Diocese did not directly run any residential schools, parishes supported Indigenous students to attend these schools. This was done by sending $30.00 per year to school administration. Records consist of receipts, correspondence, and photographs. This sub-series is based on the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's document collection processes that broke up the various record producing organizations and institutions into “sites". Within this particular site, the records are divided into what the TRC called “containers" - a unit holding a group of similar records, like a file folder - and “documents" - individual records, such as a letter or a report.
