The party returned with five Indian prisoners arrested in this connection. No police had been to the Liard district since a R.N.W.M.P. patrol passed through the Yukon in 1898. The lack of supervision was said to be apparent. Witchcraft was freely practised among the Indians. An Annual Report, 1924 Edmonton, Alberta 30th September "G" Division indicates a new establishment of the Roman Catholic missions in the Far North was planned to be erected at Aklavik in the summer of 1925.
